I have done a pregnancy test after 13 days after my first day of period, its positive, what are the chances of accuracy? I had a d&c operation 7weeks ago. I also had blood tests that showed the hormone level rapidly decreasing. The last one I had was 3 weeks ago and my hormone level was 14, would I still be showing positive from that?
It can’t show positive that fast – it will be hormone left over from the last pregnancy. It takes about 14 days from conception to build enough hormone level to show on a test. When did you ovulate?
I did a pregnancytest thursday morning (the day my period is due) and the result was positive!!
I got another urine sample and took it to my GP where I asked for another pregnancy test but this one showed a negative result!
I spoke to a close friend who said the same happened to her when she suspected she may be pregnant. She suggested me that my home pregnancy test showed up positive because the hCG hormone is more detectable in the morning, and the sample I took to my GP was not my first morning urine.
I am taking the pill but have forgotten to take it a few times so it would not be working as it should, and yes I have been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend.
I now have my period but this is not a true one as it is resulting from my pill-free week.
Will we have a boy or girl according to the Chinese Calendar?
My wife and I are trying for a boy after having a daughter. Due to pregnancies issues…my wife has to time conception with medication. We are planned to conceive this Saturday. One Chinese calendar goes by months only (this month is marked in blue indicating “boy”) another Chinese calendar calculator goes by the day and indicates “girl”. Which is correct?
You tell me…Here’s the info: My wifes age is 30 (by Gregorian Calendar: birth date is Sept. 7, 1977) We are trying to conceive this Saturday, 12/22.

I don’t know. Personally, I think it is a 50/50 chance and you get what you get because either a girl or boy sperm made it first.
It is fun to see what you would “possibly” have, however, I am not sure that I would rely entirely on these charts.
For $5000 you can do sperm picks. With this, they take all the girl and all the boys sperms, separate them and inseminate them that way. By doing this, you better your chances of getting what you want, but it is not 100 % proven and it is very costly.
Good luck on Saturday!! Husband and I are doing IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) in January if we don’t conceive this month and we are hoping for a girl.

I was due for my period on the 25th but have just been spotting very light since the 28th….not even heavy enough for a panty liner…..a lot of people have told me to go to the dr….so I called my sister-in law and she told me the test that they do at the dr’s office is the same as a homepregnancy test…and she dont think that they will draw blood just yet…so what should I do…just wait or go ahead and make an appoitment…..I know It could be because I went off of bc …but I was on bc for 5 years and after I stopped my period came back regular…this time I was only on bc for a little over a year ….we have been ttc.. I took a test on the 23rd and – and one on the 28th and it was also -????

Most doctors will not do a urine test if they know you have already gotten a positive yourself. This is because home tests are quite accurate.
Some doctors routinely do bloodwork to test for pregnancy, others just wait and do the other panels because it can be assumed you are already pregnant.
I would wait for several days and test again. If you are still getting a negative result and your period has not started, I would then make an appointment because something other than pregnancy might be going on (i.e. the hormones from your body adjusting to the cease of birth control).
Why are teen pregnancy rates in North America going up?
I’ve been told that the abstinence-only programs in the US (not teaching birth control/STI prevention) contributed to it, but I’ve also been told that shows like “Teen Mom”, “16 and pregnant” and the movie “Juno” gives girls the hope that they’ll become famous, that it’ll be simple and cute, etc.
What are the main factors causing the surge in teen pregnancies? 1/3 American girls will get pregnant, 2400 every day.
If you compare the teenage pregnancy rates in North America vs Europe, its astounding at how much of a difference there is, even though Europe has more people.
So the population factor isn’t an argument.
I believe that population increase also plays a part in it. As population increases, more people get pregnant. If it took you till reading this to realize that, you’re a fgt. I guess even if you realize it before, you’re still probably a fgt.
Just how high are chances of pregnancy without pills or condoms?
My partner and I are ttc. Never been on the pill, never used a condom. We have been trying about 3 months so far, hopefully I will be pregnant this time. So, just how high are chances with absolutely no contraception?
you have a 20-25% chance each month and a 95% chance within the 1st year….give it time…..it will happen
