I think it mostly is tv protraying pregnancy and teen motherhood to be a fun and great thing. I also think the media with the young starlets feeds into it. The year Jamie Lynn Spears got pregnant, teen pregnancy rose almost 40% from the previous year. I am not sure why kids think its ok to have sex or why they think it is normal to do it. The best I can say is that baby-boomed generation didn’t teach their children right, and now it is up to us to teach OUR children right to break this awful cycle. When I was young, it wasn’t a common thing to have sex, some did it but they were labeled as sluts and ridiculed beyond belief for it. Schools and parents back then also made sure kids didn’t think pregnancy was a great idea by showing all the awful details of everything that as a teen, (let alone a 9-10 year now day) wouldn’t have the crap scared out of them!
