In early pregnancy, (4 – 5 weeks) did your symptoms come and go?…?

examples : craming, tingling – sore – tender and itchy breasts, constipation, frequent urination and acne?? Acne just started a few days ago, but everything else has been coming and going at it’s own will.

I just now found out that I’m pregnant. I found out at 14 days pass ovulation. I got a really really faint line the day before I was supposed to start my period. I tested the next day and it was a little bit darker. The next day after that it was a lot darker.

So I don’t think you have to wait a week after you miss your period to get a positive.

I actually started noticing the symptoms on the day that my period was supposed to come. The slight cramping comes at times. Maybe once or twice a day. I have had horrible constipation. The worse ever!!!! Also, my boobs NEVER stop hurting.

Has anyone used any of the Boppy pregnancy pillows?

I’m 34 weeks pregnant with my second child, and sleeping has become an uncomfortable nightmare. With my last baby, I was able to just use regular body pillows, but they’re not working this time. Has anyone used the Boppy wedge or Boppy cuddle pillow (the one that looks like a comma)? If so, did it help you sleep more comfortably? They are expensive, so I’d like to hear from some people who have used them before spending money on one (since I’ll only need it for a few more weeks). Thanks so much!

i had one and yes they are nice not saying that it helps everyone but they helped me. you can also use it with the baby so it comes in use actually my daughter is 18 months and that is what she uses as a pillow on the floor when she wants to take a nap or with her babydolls they are nice and i would get one if i was you. you will find uses for it

How to prevent and relieve back pain during pregnancy?

I am 22 weeks pregnant and feel pain in my lower back … Talking to my doc he suggested using Support belts .. Does any one of can help me giving some more details on using support belts or any other exercise to be down to ease down the pain ….. I think as my belly would grow it would increase as well .. please suggest …

They make maternity belts that they sell at Babys R us, they run about 15 dollars and it saved my back during my last pregnancy. Mine was velcro so you could adjust it whenever you need to. It worked wonders for me, so I would definately invest in one ASAP!!! As far as preventing it I wish I could help on that one!!

Based on these facts, do you think going for an RN is the right route for me?

Well Im obsessed with pregnancy. I think it is amazing. Being around someone and watching a baby grow inside of them is so facinating. I really want to be a pre-natal nurse. I hate hospitals though so I would want to work in a womens clinic. Even if I could just be in the room with the doctor while he is taking all of her belly measurements and explaining what is going on inside of her would be fine with me. Why do I have to obtain an RN license to do such an easy job, or is there an easier way?

There really isn’t a true designation of a “prenatal nurse”. An MD usually doesn’t have anyone else in the room when she/he is measuring the fundus or checking heart tones. The only time a male OB has an assistant in the room is when he’s doing a pelvic exam or breast check. These do not occur at every prenatal visit.

Also, most OB’s have medical assistants that work in the “back office” of their practice. I work part-time in an OB’s office and I’m doing phone triage, not bringing patients back and getting their vital signs.

As far as an “easy job“, as a medical Assistant, you still need to complete a training program that is usually a year in length and you learn things like Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Basic Pharmacology, Lab draws, vital signs, EKG’s, and front office (clerical procedures and billing).

What can I keep from my baby shower?

My friend is organizing a baby shower for me. Is there anything that I could make/keep as a keepsake that will remind me of that day in the future? I would like to have something besides photos and invitation that I could include in my pregnancy journal or use it as a nursery decoration. Maybe something that people can make for my baby… any ideas? I prefer something artsy and creative but do not like the idea of a belly cast

I went to a baby shower where beforehand the host sent out a scrap book page asking us to give the new mom some words of wisdom and to decorate it any way we wished. We all brought the pages to the shower with us and she put them into a book for the mom to be.
